Basic Crochet Wristwarmer Pattern

Two versions of a really simple pattern that can be adapted to fit any hand size.

Once you have this under your belt you can adapt it to incorporate different stitches, for example swapping the main part to double crochet or incorporating popcorns or fans.

Abbreviations

  • ch – chain
  • dc – double crochet
  • tr- treble crochet
  • FPTC – front post treble crochet. Yarn over, insert hook behind post of stitch in previous row, yarn over, pull loop through, yarn over pull through 2, yarn over pull through 2
  • BPTC – back post treble crochet. Yarn over, insert hook in front of post of stitch in previous row, yarn over, pull loop through, yarn over pull through 2, yarn over pull through 2

Alternating FPTC & BPTC forms a rib.

I’ve included this video to show how to do the stitch, back post is the same principle but from the other way. I’ll get some photo instructions up soon.
