I don’t know about other crafters but I find I don’t often have to go looking for projects, I’m lucky enough to have friends who show me ones they think I might find interesting or quirky.
A prime example is this Baby Sloth, free pattern from the Twisted Crocheter
The original pattern used DK on a 4mm hook, my instinctive reaction was to try it on 4 ply cotton. I worked it on a 3 mm hook in one of my favourites, Anchor Creative Fina using up some oddments left from previous projects.
It took less than an hour and I’m really happy how it turned out, despite the face being fiddly to do.
The next night I made one in the correct size, it was a lot easier to make however I don’t feel it’s quite as cute as the teeny one.
