I’ve tried a knitted version of these and thought there had to be a way to do them in crochet, this is my first attempt. Should fit a size 6/7
I used James C Brett Marble Chunky (used colours 43 & 46) with a 5 mm hook.
Unlike the knitted pair these are made with only 1 strand of yarn as I found 2 even on a larger hook was too thick.
Stitches used
- dc – double crochet
- dc2tog – double crochet 2 together
- dc3tog – double crochet 3 together

Adding sole:
I found it easier to add sole to shoe before sewing it together.
I cut the sole shapes from felt, then initially stuck them on with Fast Tack Glue before stitching round edges. I slightly stretched the shoe as I added the felt.
To make shoe.
Butt together two sides and sew using blanket stitch from toe towards marker at end of row 16. Pull stitching tightly at toe to form curve.
Do the same blanket stitch up back seam of shoe.
Boot cuff
Pick up 38 stitches along boot opening.
Dc working in rounds – I did 18 rounds.
Cast off & weave in ends.
To get horizontal rib:
- Odd rows work in back loop only
- Even rows work in front loop only
