It was so good to get back to my craft classes in the residential care homes. I’d really missed the residents and staff

Cards for home
Sometimes crafting for classes means I don’t get time to craft for myself. I thought this year would be the same but I sat down early in December and decided to do a batch of Christmas cards

Simple Crochet Christmas Bauble
This bauble pattern can be adapted in a number of ways, plain, sparkly, striped and with a variety of adornments. I’ve worked this in a DK acrylic (as that’s what I had to hand) but it could be made with most yarns, each giving a different effect.

Christmas Wreath
This is based on the Jack Skellington Wreath I made last year.

Christmas Holly
A useful bit of decoration but can be a little fiddly. Will add picture soon.

Christmas Stocking
I’ve done these in three sizes; standard, mini & large. And they all work on the same principle. They re good for bunting as well as for putting gifts in

Crocheted Snowflake 1
I actually made a pile of these a few years ago to use up some 4ply to make bunting but no matter how I strung them I wasn’t happy. So this year I plan to use them to decorate my Christmas Cards. The larger of the two in the image was worked in DK and measures 13 cm (5 inches) in diameter, the smaller is in 4 ply and is 8 cm (3 inches) across.

Mini wreaths
Spent a fantastic afternoon with a friend working on a craft project, but before we started the main project she showed me how to make these mini wreaths.

Jack Skellington Wreath
During a Wool Haven crochet class one of the ladies taking part showed me a pattern she was hoping to do in time for Halloween: Jack Skellington Wreath I have 3 friends I thought would like one plus wanting one for myself, so the race was on to complete before the next Monday.
