    August 2021

August has simply flown by here at Ceefer Mansions. I’ve been getting back into the routine of my residential home craft classes and preparing for the crochet classes at The Wool Haven in addition to the regular working in the garden and baking.

The strap line for this month is “I’m back!” At the residential care homes at least, the crochet classes will begin soon.

Apart from my classes it’s been fairly quiet month on the crafting side. Been finishing off unpacking and most of remaining my free time has been spent in the garden.

    Autumn Wreaths

My original plan for this month’s project was to make wreaths using fallen leaves. It appears I was premature in my programming as there are hardly any fallen leaves about. Looking back I see we did the leaf printing in October last year.

    Picture Frames

Our second decoupage class at the residential care homes this year. It’s a popular activity with the residents so I like to incorporate it regularly.

    Circular weaving

A second month of introducing a new technique to the residential care home classes. I like to bring some variety into my sessions there so the the residents get to use different colours and textures and weaving seemed an excellent opportunity to do so.

    Button Art

I thought we’d try something different this month in the Residential Classes. Button art pictures are popular and it seemed a way for the residents to produce something they might see while shopping.
