I had a request to knit a man’s beanie in the Boston Bruin colours.
I used Deramores Studio DK in black and mustard and used two strands throughout the pattern giving extra density to the finished hat.
Dimensions: 25 inch / 64 cm diameter, 9.5 inch / 24 cm height
(each colour band is just under 1 inch ( 2.25 cm) To increase / decrease height add or remove a stripe in section 1)
This is a basic pattern, although double pointed needles are fiddly until you get used to them.
It took me about 4 hours to complete, including the sewing in of ends (peskies)
Materials
- 1 x 100g of both colours – plenty left over if you wish to add a pompom or earflaps
- Set of 6.5 mm double pointed needles, or circular needles
